Christmas is just right around the corner!

 

Santa's elves have collected your wish lists and have prepared a beautiful Christmas package for you.

 

The package contains the following functions:

  • Contact selection within a Job
  • Contact selection in a sales activity
  • Contact selection in a purchase order
  • Payment Terms in a purchase order

Contacts are now selected exclusively using the address book and are shown in the address view. Therefore we have removed the contact selection in the customer address in the project. Therefore there is more space for displaying the address with the contact information.

 

This advanced update is already available for our forum users. We will also publish the update soon on our official update page.

 

Thank you very much for your loyalty and your numerous suggestions for improvement.

Also this year we have done without Christmas presents and have supported UNICEF in their relief projects.

telephonee After 8 years, our new interactive telephone portal will replace the outdated telephone system.

 

With the interactive menu, sales and support questions will be directly targeted to the right contact person. If sales cannot be reached, a message can be left on voice mail.

 

Gold support requests will be automatically assigned the support plan number using caller ID technology. If the system is not able to assign the number on the basis of the telephone number, enter the number manually. You can find your support plan number on your confirmation as well as in the helpdesk ticket system. Holders of Premium Support Plans are also able to use the telephone portal outside of official office hours. Silver support requests will be accepted exclusively via our helpdesk ticket system.

 

For the technically interested:

 

The new telephone portal was built on the Microsoft Office Communication Server Speech Server. Necessary information, such as support plans or similar items are made available in real time from our Microsoft Dynamic CRM 4.0 System.

 

As we still use a classic telephone system, the system is interfaced via 8 S0 Ports and via an SIP Media Gateways from Dialogic and Ferrari.

In order to improve our support, we will be introducting support plans during October for the German speaking countries. There are three difference support plans.

Internationally, we have had very good success over the past years dividing support into various levels.

You can have a constant overview of your current requests and the solutions provided by us. We will answer you via the system. In the case of complex issues, we will also contact you remotely via telephone. Business Critical Tickets will be handled with priority.

Introduction of two new ea

syjob Editions and customization of the product name.

The range of use of easyjob varies from a one man company up to large enterprises with multi-sites and multiple currency environments.

In order to better customize easyjob for the individual target groups, we are expanding easyjob with two additional Editions and are customizing the current product names. As of mid November, easyjob 4.0 will be available in the Editions easyjob S - Express , easyjob M - Small Business, easyjob L - Corporation und easyjob XL -Enterprise.

For current easyjob installations, only the name and the start screen will change.

easyjob 4.0 S – Express

easyjob 4.0 S-Express is designed for small companies with only one user. In addition to the office computer, a limited number of stock computers can be set up.

In comparison to easyjob 4.0 M, this version has the following restrictions:

- Connection only possible to local databases.

- One user with full access, a stock user with limited user rights.

- No Insurance calculations

- Only one confirmed Job in the Project.

- No Project Types.

- No Price Lists.

- No rental rate curves.

- One Group in the Bill of Items.

- One Rate in the Resource.

- No Purchase Order System.

easyjob 4.0 M - Small Business is designed for small businesses with a maximum of five simultaneous easyjob accesses.

The limitations in comparison to easyjob L is the limited number of simultaneous accesses of five computers.

easyjob 4.0 L – Corporation is designed for larger companies with more than 5 computers.

- Payment plans

With the payment plans, projects can be billed with partial invoices. The partial invoices are created manually or at defined intervals.

- Invoice job

The invoice job separates the Scheduling from the confirmed Proposal. The invoice is prepared based on the confirmed job.

- Group authorization

With group authorization, users receive the required access rights on the basis of assigned groups. Plus, each user can be granted additional rights on an individual basis.

- Owner management

Owner management separates the actual inventory from the owners. BIC can be used to evaluate which leasing contracts must be redeemed soon. It is also possible to share stock with multiple companies and to manage the ownership structures of multiple owners and stock locations.

The new operating systems Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 are already supported by easyjob 4.0.

 

Our automated tests area have already been running on the new Windows platform since summer. As before, we support the operating systems Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2003 R2, Windows Vista and Windows 2003 R2.

 

 

The easyjob Update, which will be available soon, also supports the new Actions task bar.

Our company has already been working with the new operating system for some time now.

 

We have had good experiences up until now using Microsoft's new operating system. We can only recommend the update to everyone.

singlelogo_3 With easyjob 4.0 Webshop, you can offer your Rental Items on the Internet.

The easyjob Webshop makes rental inventory available for selection via the Internet.

The Webshop integrated in easyjob was implemented on the basis of Microsoft Silverlight Technology.

Web-based inquiries are sent to the designated rental manager via e-mail. With a few mouse-clicks, easyjob determines the availability of the desired items and generates a proposal that can be sent back to the customer.

This accelerates the rental process in that the customer is the one who builds the order.

 

In the first version, the Webshop module does not require personal login information.

 

 

easyjob 4.0 Manufacturing Controller

logo_3 It is possible to create Manufacturing Orders with the Manufacturing Controller tool.

The Manufacturing Order consists of Items, Resources and a Cost Planner.

Items that are not available in Stock can be directly transferred into a Purchase Order.

The completed item can be transferred to the rental or sales stock. It is also possible to attach as many of these completion orders as needed to the easyjob Project.

The project cost planner will then display the income and expenses associated with each completion order.

 

easyjob 4.0 Live Project Folder

liveprojectfolder_thumb Various Web parts display Information such as project data, Items, Staff and Documents on the individual project pages. User rights can be implemented for the individual projects.

A Log View shows the user's access to the individual documents.

The customer logs into the system and can view all the information approved for him. Furthermore, Employees and Freelancers can also gain access with the Live Project Folder.

The initial version of the Live Project Folder is designed as read-only. In later versions, it will be possible to edit easyjob information via the integrated Web parts.

 

easyjob 4.0 QA (Quality Assurance)

logo_thumb_1 The Quality Assurance option supports the safeguarding of the company's quality standards.

Resource Planning will be expanded with the Qualification Function. As many Qualifications as needed (e.g. forklift driver's license, instructions, etc.) are created in the Master Data.

The duration of the validity of the individual qualifications can be managed. The individual qualifications are assigned to the individual Employees and Freelancers. It is also possible to assign the qualifications by Item.

In this way, for example, the Item "Grand MA" and the "Light Technician" can be assigned the qualification of "Grand MA". A further example is, e.g., the assignment of instructions for lifts.

When assigning Staff for a Project, this ensures that staff with the required qualifications is booked for the equipment to be used.

The individual Suppliers (Sub-hires and Staff) can be rated in the Project. In addition, the Customer can rate the Service via a Website.

 

The individual ratings are used in the Business Information Center to create Quality sheets.

Over the past weeks, we may have been less outwardly present for you, but we have used this time intensively in order to advance the development of our software.

 

The development of all of the functions listed below is finalized. However we want to make the Tools available to you officially when the detailed documentation is ready.

 

Of course, we will present the individual tools to you in more detail soon.

In addition to numerous functions that were developed - especially for larger customer projects - we developed the following in 2008:

 

easyjob 4.0 Basic Functions

Expanded selection possibilities in the Resource Plan offer additional possibilities to distribute Items between Sites via Cross Rentals in the Multi-site version.

We are offering you now a new version of the integrated List&Label Report Designer, plus you have access to the easyjob Database from the Report Designer. You can move Projects and Jobs and a new context menu is available in easyjob Today.

Plus, the Basic Functions now include BIC Statistics for Sales and Purchase Orders and many smaller options.

 

easyjob 4.0 DigiFleet

But now with easyjob 4.0 DigiFleet, you can import and analyse tachograph data and driver cards quickly and easily.

In the time diagram, the individual activities are evaluated by Vehicle and Driver. Infractions against any driver rules will be reported.

The activity reports necessary for the driver can be batch printed. This takes information such as vacation and sickness from resource planning into consideration.

 

easyjob 4.0 Controlling Center

The heart of the Controlling Center is the management of purchase invoices. Every Purchase Invoice is processed and assigned to a corresponding object (e.g. project costs, sub-hires, workshop activities, inventory, etc.). The costs can be easily analyzed in the applicable program module.

This matching process also enables data to be automatically posted to the appropriate accounts. Data can be electronically submitted to your accounting professional as well.

The scanned Purchase Invoice assignment function takes you one step closer to a paperless office.

In addition to the management of purchase invoices, the easyjob 4.0 Controlling Center also contains a variety of practical features such as project post calculation statistics, payment instructions and cost planning.

 

 

easyjob 4.0 Freelancer Communication Pack

Communication with Freelancers is made much easier with the easyjob Freelancer Communication Pack.

Among other benefits, booking requests, confirmations and availability can be shared electronically with the individual Freelancers.

It is a software that lets the Freelancer manage his appointments, addresses and invoices.

 

easyjob 4.0 Webshop

With easyjob 4.0 Webshop, you can offer your Rental Items on the Internet.

With easyjob Master Data, it is determined which Items will be published on the internet.

The webshop is adapted to your own web page colors in the easyjob program settings.

In the web browers, the shop is displayed using Microsoft Silverlight Control.

The customer collects the Items and sees the corresponding daily rental price.

From the request, the project is automatically created in easyjob using the Project Assistant.

easyjob 4.0 Webshop is the first webshop available on the market for rental companies.

 

easyjob 4.0 Gadgets

With easyjob Gadgets, individual areas of information from the Navigator and easyjob Today can be displayed also outside of the easyjob application.

The first easyjob installation went live ten years ago today.10yearsSign_3

 

At that time, no one could have thought that easyjob would develop into a solution that is used by small and large enterprises in the Entertainment branch.

 

From the beginnings with one employee, we have developed into a solid company with 20 employees.  Constant improvements have turned easyjob into a standard application. Over the years we have received various awards, such as from Microsoft and PLASA, for example.

 

In addition to many detailed improvements to easyjob 4.0, next year we will be able to finish completely new options with the Freelancer Communication Pack, easyjob 4.0 Controlling Center, easyjob 4.0 Webshop and easyjob 4.0 Sidebar Gadgets.

 

We have a lot planned also for 2009.

 

We would like to especially thank all of our customers, who have placed their trust in us from the first version.
