The first easyjob installation went live ten years ago today.

At that time, no one could have thought that easyjob would develop into a solution that is used by small and large enterprises in the Entertainment branch.

From the beginnings with one employee, we have developed into a solid company with 20 employees.  Constant improvements have turned easyjob into a standard application. Over the years we have received various awards, such as from Microsoft and PLASA, for example.

In addition to many detailed improvements to easyjob 4.0, next year we will be able to finish completely new options with the Freelancer Communication Pack, easyjob 4.0 Controlling Center, easyjob 4.0 Webshop and easyjob 4.0 Sidebar Gadgets.

We have a lot planned also for 2009.

We would like to especially thank all of our customers, who have placed their trust in us from the first version.

We have a created a new forum to better suit your needs.

All previous entries and users from the old forum have been migrated to the new one.

New user accounts can still be created by registering in the community.

But now, all users associated with a company will be displayed.

Additionally, you can subscribe to an RSS feed that will update you on forum topics and contributions of specific interest.

With so many options -- RSS feeds, the Update site, and the new and improved forum -- it's easier than ever to stay up-to-date on the latest easyjob advancements.

In some cases, when utilizing the select all (CTRL + A) command in conjunction with the edit multiple entries feature, changes made to the data may be applied elsewhere in your database as well.

To prevent this problem, we recommend not using the CTRL + A command in conjunction with the Edit Multiple Entries feature in any lists.

To update entries in a list, please proceed in the following manner until further notice:

Using your mouse

1. Select the first line

2. Hold down the Shift key

3. Select the last line

With the keyboard

1. Select the first line

2. Hold down the Shift key

3. Press the "End" key on your numeric keypad

Improved Resource Planning

For faster searching, every Resource in your Master Data will now be categorized as an employee, freelancer and/or temporary staffing agent. The update will automatically categorize your existing Resources according to the following schedule: Addresses assigned to easyjob Users will be regarded as employees, Addresses that have more than one Resource assigned to them within a job will be regarded as a temporary staffing agent and Addresses with only one Resource assignment will be regarded as Freelancers.

A Job Appointment can now be selected in the Resource Assignment Window.

The Assigned Resource detailed view can now be filtered by Job or Appointment.

This will enable you to display Assigned Resources more conveniently than ever.

The "Always Display in Resource Plan" check box is now available for Freelancers and Temporary Staffing Agents.

You can also filter the Resource Planner to only display individuals who meet the selection criteria.

Date Mover for Projects and Jobs

No need to panic when you're handed last minute changes. A helpful Wizard will now quickly and easily adjust the time frame and schedules for existing Projects and Jobs.

New version of List&Label Report Designer

We have integrated a new and improved version of the List&Label Report Designer to give you more control over the look and feel of your print-outs.

We have just released preview screen shots for the highly-anticipated easyjob Freelancer edition.

Due to our exponential growth (now over 1,000 companies world-wide), we will be updating our internal processes to better suit the volume of requests we receive.

In the next few weeks, we will implement a new Web-based Help Desk system to more efficienty handle support inquiries. Every inquiry will be logged and assigned a Help Desk ticket. This way you can track the status of your inquiry online. Answers to Help Desk inquiries will then be posted to a support database, allowing easyjob users to conduct searches on pertinent topics 24/7. So kann jeder auch außerhalb unserer Supportzeiten nach Lösungen recherchieren.

Additionally, we are developing a special support team for business critical instances in large easyjob environments. Subscribers to "Premium" support will have access to personal product support technician.

We're still dilligently following up with the exciting new contacts we made at prolight+sound.

It was a great pleasure to meet so many of our customers in person as well. Even though we added another terminal and more staff to our booth, we were still overwhelmed by the volume of visitors. Sincerest apologies if you were among those who did not get a one-on-one consultation at the show. As always, our sales department will be happy to assist you with a Web demonstration from the convenience of your office.

These new products demonstrate our sincere commitment to the on-going development of the easyjob rental software system. Staying at the forefront of technology is our top priority.

In order to prevent unecessary delays, we will release the easyjob Controlling Center and Freelancer Communication Packs separately. We are currently putting the finishing touches on the Controlling Center. Among them, the various data export features, workflow authorization for purchase invoices and the depreciation module. The tentative release date is June 2008.

Once the Controlling Center is available, we will complete the Freelancer Communication Pack as well as the easyjob 4.0 Freelancer version.

easyjob 4.0 DigiFleet is already available. The required hardware components are also in stock.

Once the Freelancer products are released, it's full steam ahead with the final development of the easyjob LiveProject Folder, Business Travel Planner and Time Card modules. The public release date is tentatively scheduled for the third quarter of 2008.
